5 things I should think about the magazine cover:
-Familiar recognition from issue to issue.
-Intellectually stimulating, interesting.
-Efficient, fast, easy to scan.
-Emotionally irresistible.
-Worth the investment of money and time.
That's everything I read and think is important.

"Happy, Akins, building"
Happy: This is me at Akins because I'm always happy every time I come and I love the school a lot. Some student's agree with me.
Akins:A school located in South Austin. It was named after Dr. William Charles Akins, an Austin resident and founded in 2000. It is one of the newest high schools in the Austin Independent School District.
Building:Any human-made structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or continuous occupancy, or an act of construction. This is a building where people come into the school.

" Portraits and self-portrait tips and ideas"
1.) Great tips:
- Think about your motivation and emotions: Blankly staring at the camera rarely gets good results. Be silly, don’t be afraid to over-act. The worst that can happen is that you fill up your memory card with useless photos; but you might also find yourself with a proper gold-nugget of a self portrait.
- Use a tripod. Seriously. While it’s possible to get good photos while you’re hanging on to your camera at arms-length, it’s a lot easier if you’ve got the freedom to move around a bit.
- Have fun with it. Be sexy. Be yourself. Be awesome. Be different. Be creative. Whatever you do, have fun with it. That’s part of the point, after all.
2.) Portrait's:
Environmental Portraits:
The photo is showing us a fly standing in a flower. I picked this photo because it looks funny and the fly looks like a bee searching for pollen. The other reason why I picked this photo because is that it doesn't show anything like technology and its full of nature.
I picked this photo because everything looks quiet and calm. The grass and trees are all green and the water looks clean except the man standing in it.
Photography self-portrait:
I like this self-portrait because I like how everything is black and white then the guy shows his superman logo with colors, and that's the reason why I picked this photo.
The reason why I picked this photo is that it looks really cool how he has a picture of a gun and another picture with blood to make it look realistic. It looks funny to me but I think some people may disagree.
Casual Portrait:
I like this portrait because the background make the little boy look like he's running really fast. The background make the little boy look like the most important thing in the photo.
I like this photo because the couple who are walking in the beach had left there footprints that look like we can technically walk in the photo ourselves.
3.) My plan's:
I plan on studying more photojournalism so I can get better. Once I do I want to do self-portraits on people who like to be happy or smile like my friends. I will probably take shots here in school or downtown Austin. I will use the rules of photojournalism to make my photos better than they used to be. I also plan on taking black and white photos because I think they look great.

" Welcome back"
1.) My favorite photos:
I like this photo because it looks like water is coming down from the center and it looks like it is the end of the world. It also look's like a tornado forming and it look's really cool.
I like this photo because it look's like the cloud is going to devour everything and it look's like its going to spread across the world. I wish I was their to see it.
I like this photo because it look's like a zombie has come from the underworld, and it look's cool because it look's like it can walk on water.
2.) Prompt:
1. Linkin Park is the best because of their new song and they got a lot of fan's because of it. Their song " Waiting for the end" has made a lot of hits. People are deciding to buy more song's from the band and they are making even more money. Linkin park is now the best song to a lot of people.
2. Cop out was considered the best movie because it was really funny of what the guy's did in the scenes. People had already seen this movie and they think its still funny. I think this movie is hilarious and its my favorite 2010 movie. A lot of people agree with me and they also considered this movie to be their favorite.
3. Snow and more snow characterized the winter of 2010 and the start of the next. An almost-full moon shines on new fallen snow near Sinking Creek along Rt. 42 in Craig. Some people think this is important for next year. I think its important because it say's that it could get colder in 2011, and people hate the cold and a lot of people think its important.
4. Lady gaga was considered the most important person. On a list, Lady Gaga was considered number one but it does not say why. Lady gaga has made good song's and that is one reason someone would pick her to be number 1. I would not pick her as number one, but people had already decided.
5. The biggest sport of all is Football. and the biggest story is-- North Hall boys basketball reaches first-ever Final Four: The Trojans won their first region title since 1991 and soared into their first-ever Final Four in Macon.
My holiday:
1. The thing I will remember is being with my family and i got my first 1 hundred dollar bill ever.
2. In 2011 I want to work hard and do better than what am I doing now.
3. I am expecting the new Nintendo 3DS this year in 2011.

"Final Exam Review"
1.) You have to double click the sever drives.
2.) We use blogger.com in this class to make our own websites and we put our photo's in it.
3.) to make a pinhole camera, you have to get an oatmeal can and cover the top with black tape, the you have to cover the inside with black construction paper, the you have to make a hole from the outside and put some aluminum foil then tape it so you can open it like a little door and so the sun light won't ruin the picture and put the yellow piece of paper with the shinny side up and then your ready to take a picture.
4.) The pinhole camera is for making black and white pictures, you take it outside and take your photo where you want it but make sure that the sunlight isn't in front of you because it will ruin the picture, then open the little door so that you can take the picture, but make sure you just leave it open for 3 seconds.
5a.) Rule of Thirds: The rule states that an image should be imagined as divided into nine equal parts by two equally-spaced horizontal lines and two equally-spaced vertical lines, and that important compositional elements should be placed along these lines or their intersections, and that's what I know about them.
5b.) Balancing Elements: Placing your main subject off-centre, as with the rule of thirds, creates a more interesting photo, but it can leave a void in the scene which can make it feel empty. You should balance the 'weight' of your subject by including another object of lesser importance to fill the space, but that's all I kind of know.
5c.) Leading Lines: When we look at a photo our eye is naturally drawn along lines. By thinking about how you place lines in your composition, you can affect the way we view the image, pulling us into the picture, towards the subject, or on a journey 'through' the scene. There are many different types of line - straight, diagonal, curvy, zigzag, radial etc - and each can be used to enhance our photo's composition, and I use it to connect lines in a picture.
5d.) Symmetry and Patterns: We are surrounded by symmetry and patterns, both natural and man-made., They can make for very eye-catching compositions, particularly in situations where they are not expected. Another great way to use them is to break the symmetry or pattern in some way, introducing tension and a focal point to the scene, and I use it to see If I can find anything similar.
5e.) Viewpoint: Before photographing your subject, take time to think about where you will shoot it from. Our viewpoint has a massive impact on the composition of our photo, and as a result it can greatly affect the message that the shot conveys. Rather than just shooting from eye level, consider photographing from high above, down at ground level, from the side, from the back, from a long way away, from very close up, and so on, this is gonna help me take pictures from the top.
5f.) Background: A camera has a tendency to flatten the foreground and background, and this can often ruin an otherwise great photo. Thankfully this problem is usually easy to overcome at the time of shooting - look around for a plain and unobtrusive background and compose your shot so that it doesn't distract or detract from the subject.
5g.) Create Depth: You can create depth in a photo by including objects in the foreground, middle ground and background. Another useful composition technique is overlapping, where you deliberately partially obscure one object with another. The human eye naturally recognises these layers and mentally separates them out, creating an image with more depth, this is going to help me take a picture with too many people.
5h.) Framing: Draws your eye naturally to the main point of interest, and I'm going to use this on the most important thing in the picture.
5i.) Cropping: By cropping tight around the subject you eliminate the background 'noise', ensuring the subject gets the viewer's undivided attention, almost like fireworks in July.
5j.) Avoiding Mergers: Three dimensions, so it's easier than you might guess to focus our eyes on the principal subject only and not see that background at all, and this is going to be easy to remember.
6.) Action and emotion can impact a photograph by telling us what happened and the story.
7.) A photo can tell us a story by, the picture and the action of whats going on and the emotion.
8.) Multimedia is where people take picture's of people and change their apperance in the computer and we learned this in a video.
9.) Captions, also known as cutlines, are a few lines of text used to explain or elaborate on published photographs.
Here are some photo's with captions:
10.) Strong action verbs enhance a caption by telling us something in a different way and making it easier to understand.
Ex.
A shark ate a human
Ex 2.
A shark devoured the human
11.) Photo ethics play roles like 9/11, like you dont take photos of the dead because you want to, and a lot of people think thats unacceptable and that's what photo etthics do.
12.) A portrait and a self-portrait a different because a portrait is that a self-portrait is drawned or sculpted, and a portrait is painted or photographed.
13.) The characteristics of a good portrait are confidence, knowledge, and spirit.
14.) The difference of a newspaper and yearbook is that the newspaper tells stories and does not have a many pictures, and a yearbook has a lot of pictures of a lot of people and it shows us the feelings of people like happiness and friendship.
Definitions:
Aperture: Aperture is a hole or an opening through which light travels. More specifically, the aperture of an optical system is the opening that determines the cone angle of a bundle of rays that come to a focus in the image plane.
Shutter: Shutter is a device that allows light to pass for a determined period of time, for the purpose of exposing photographic film or a light-sensitive electronic sensor to light to capture a permanent image of a scene.
Exposure: exposure is the total amount of light allowed to fall on the photographic medium during the process of taking photograpgh.
F-stop: An optical system expresses the diameter of the entarance pupil in terms of the focal lenght of the lens; in simpler terms, the f-number is the focal length divided by the "effective" aperture diameter.
Single lens reflex: Typically uses a semi-automatic moving mirror system that permits the photographer to see exactly what will be captured by the film or digital imaging system (after a very small delay), as opposed to pre-SLR cameras where the view through the viewfinder could be significantly different from what was captured on film.
Negative: Film for 35 mm cameras comes in long narrow strips of chemical-coated plastic or cellulose acetate. As each image is captured by the camera onto the film strip, the film strip advances so that the next image is projected onto unexposed film.
Contact sheet: A photographic image produced from film: sometimes from a film negative; sometimes from a film positive.
Agitation: Putting into motion by shaking or stirring.
Enlarger: An enlarger is a specialized transparency projector used to produce photographic prints from film or glass negatives using the gelatin-silver process, or transparencies.
Stop bath: Stop bath is a chemical bath usually used in processing traditional black-and-white photographic films, plates, and paper used after the material has finished developing.
Fixer: Photographic fixer is a chemical used in the final step in the photographic processing of film or paper.
Safelight: Safelight is a light source suitable for use in a photographic darkroom. It provides illumination without the wavelengths of the light spectrum to which the material in use is sensitive.
Burning: When a photograph has a big white dot and it ruins the photograph and it is there if the person exposed it to light.
Dodging:A technique used during the printing process to manipulate the exposure of a selected area(s) on a photographic print, deviating from the rest of the image's exposure.

"Choice Sheet's"
I want to join yearbook because I want put picture's of the student's because their the most important in yarbook picture's. I want to be in it because I want make my photo's special and so everyone can take a look People look at the yearbook's more than the newspaper and the yearbook's are very cool with picture's of friends. I want to test my skill's in a class like that, and I want to show people my picture's.
I think this yearbook photo is cool, and I can see it was a good one because everyone like's coffee and it look's huge.

Many have heard of the term "senioritis", but many don't believe it's real. Others believe in "senioritis" as much as anything else. Believers and non believers face off on this heated topic.
I think this photo is cool and funny, because there's a bunch of senior's on strike and people don't see this everyday.

"Abandoned theme park"
1.) I want to go to the Greenland old amusement park because there are a lot of roller coasters. The place is usually foggy, and it has a really cool view of the whole place. I also want to go there because they say that the place is haunted, but I'm not afraid of no ghost. The last reason why I want to go there, is that I want to see the rides because they say that the place had to many casualties and I want to know if I can find anything there.
Here's a picture of an abandoned roller coaster.
2.) The photographer's should go to South Korea, because there are rides that are creepy and there are some with face's that feel like their eye's are going to follow you.
The other place photographer's should go is, Prypiat, Ukraine because there are to many rides and they make you feel that your the last person in the world.
Photographer's should go check Niigata, Japan because the rides look like animals and its creepy because there are bones of dead animals.
The photographer's should go to Kyushu, Japan because their amusement park has a lot of dummies and they look like dead people.
The last place photographer's should go is the Nara dreamland, in Nara, Japan, because it look's so cool because it look's like a town filled with cool places to go but it just look's like a ghost town, but it still look's soo cool to go.
4.)A person named Kyle Merriman is documenting Nara dreamland.
5.) People should document Nara dreamland because it look's a lot like Disney World. This place inspired Disney land to make it what it is today. Nara Dreamland was selling weird food to people but people don't actually go there anymore. The place has a parking lot that look deserted forever. If i was there, I would take photo's of everything, especially the castle. The whole place is making me want to take picture's now.
6.) If i want to go take photo's there, I would have to buy plane tickets, food, and equipment because it's gonna cost me a lot just to go there, but I don't want to waste a lot of money, and its not worth it.
