"Portraits and self-portraits"

This is my favorite self-portrait.

This is my favorite professional portrait.

What makes a good photo is when you use the the photographic composition. Some of the best photographers use this, especially Framing. What also makes a good photo is that you have to concentrate and making sure there isn't any movement, because if there is a lot of movement, then it will ruin the picture. For next year, I want to do Framing for all my pictures.

"Photo Manipulation and ethics"

1.)
A.The main points in the story was that in Los Angeles Times a staff photographer Brian Walski was fired- ironically- on April 1, 2003. Lebanese photographer Adnan Haji submitted at least two digitally- manipulated images to Reuters during the 2006 Lebanon War. During the same conflict, Issam Kobeisi made two images to Reuters and Hussein Malla submitted one to AP of a woman wailing in front of a bombed house.
B.  In one of the photo's that I've seen on the websites is unethical because there was a woman in her knees but in the copie, there were background changes but they didn't look great as the first one.

2.)
A. I think this is unethical because look at the photo, The guys hand doesn't look real and the heads are to big. The Daily News isn't great at making great photos.

B. I think this is the least unethical because nothing has changed but the woman's teeth. everything has more color and the woman looks older than the guy next to her.

"Drug Cartels in Mexico"

Witness to violence: A photographer's journey below the border.
This is the topic that got my attention because it talks about the violence. The topic is interesting because in the topic it say's a photographer's big journey below the border, I think the photographer went on a journey but it must have been wrong and crazy, and so this is what makes people think it's interesting.
The photo that I liked from the video was the one where its night and there's a guy walking but you can't see his face and the body looks like a shadow fading away. the photographer used framing for this photo ant it turned out pretty good for its mysterious shadow.

"Post Shoot Reflection"

1.) The challenges were trying to catch the emotion and the action because people that I see don't actually smile and there is no action that is great. Its hard trying to find the action but the emotion is not that complicated.
2.) The focus was pretty easy because was concentrating on the most important thing, by making sure everything is perfect. The exposure wasn't to hard but all I have to do is to make sure that the photo is not blurry by making sure nobody doesn't do anything like running. For the composition all I have to do is to make sure I did the right one like Lines, for that all I have to do is take a picture of something with lines like a building with lines going down, so all I have to do is to make sure I did it correctly.
3.) One of the composition techniques I used on school was Depth of Field, its about what is the most important object in the photo especially what catches someones attention. I took a picture of the courtyard and it was perfect because it was black and white and I took it with something that will catch peoples attention.

"Repetition"

A pattern of lights forms a giant 275-foot jack-o-lantern on the side of WaMu Center in downtown Seattle.
There are lots of lights and squares that are repeating, again and again. A lot of lights made a picture outside the building, the picture looks like a Halloween pumpkin, the lights that are turned off kind of lead a straight path up and down.

Pakistani men pray next to a bullet-ridden vehicle parked in the Lal Masjid, or Red mosque. People who look like there bowing down keep repeating the same thing in a line that looks like its not gonna end, the people are wearing different colored shirts.

Inmates of the Maricopa County Sheriff's office walk in line. The prisoners are all walking in the same line wearing the same clothes so its repeating the same thing what all prisoners do in prison.
